How to scale design in S-Edit?

How to scale design in S-Edit?

Postby Guest » Tue Jun 05, 2012 3:08 pm

In S-Edit, I want to add a design library that has different grid settings and internal units. When I add this library to my current design, the connection points (red dots) and symbols in my old design become unusually large as compared to my current design. Anybody know how to scale symbols and schematics?

The dots used for node points in S-Edit are a fixed size and cannot be changed. Any problems with the dot size due to the size of the symbols drawn in comparison with the default size of the dots. One way to get around this issue without having to redraw the symbols is to change the size of an Internal unit to a smaller value which will scale down the symbols in size thus making the dots larger. Select Setup>Technology>Schematic Units and change the inch per Internal Unit setting to a smaller value and save to the project folder.

Alternately, you can use the following TCL command to rescale your libraries.

Code: Select all
design scale -numerator <numerator> -denominator <denominator>

You can type the command in the S-Edit command window. You need to choose proper numerator and denominator values to match the devices sizes between different libraries.
